How I got here

I picked up a camera properly while I was working as a flight attendant in Dubai, second shooting for a photographer there on my days off. I kept at it back in the Philippines until weddings were the whole job. I met my husband, a Filipino-American in the US Navy, at a friend’s wedding I was photographing. The DC area has been home for more than eight years now, with three children in it.

Four hundred weddings later, I still work the same way: learn everyone’s name, stay out of the middle of the room, and wait. The editing is timeless and true to colour, neither washed out nor darkened down, so these pictures should look the same to you in thirty years as they do the week you get them.

Your wedding should not be about the photographs. The photographs should be about the wedding. If you are planning a cultural ceremony, your traditions are celebrated here rather than worked around. Galleries land four to six weeks after the day, and I travel for the couples who ask me to.
